Nkana coach Masautso Mwale was delighted after his team beat KCCA of Uganda 4-3 on aggregate to set up a meeting with Egyptian giants Zamalek in the next round of the CAF Champion’s League.

And Mwale has declared that his team has what it takes to defeat the Egyptians.

Speaking after his team saw off the Ugandan champions 2-1 at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Saturday, Mwale said they knew they would get the result
need to ensure progress to the last 16.

“We are happy with this win because we knew we could get victory in Kampala,” He said.

The Coach said they deserved to win the game against because they dominated play and
should have won by a big margin, although the strikers missed several chances.

“Our mission was  to get an early goal. But we should have killed off the game before our opponents made it 1-1,” He added.

And on his side’s meeting with Egyptian giants Zamalek, Mwale said they were not in the tournament just to participate, but to win it.

“The Egyptian side is a very tough  seasoned side that has achieved a lot in the continent, but we can beat them. We take each game at a time and hopefully we rectify our mistakes. We are in the competition to contest and not participate so we have to beat the best if we are to achieve our goals,” he said.

Mwale said although Zambian teams have always had problems dealing with Egyptian opposition, they would prepare well for the showdown in the round of 16.
