Take your donations to Bweengwa, Dora tells HH

Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya has advised opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to channel his donations of any kind to rural areas where citizens are faced with challenges.

Commenting on the recent development where the opposition leader’s donation of a generator to Chawama level one hospital was rejected, Siliya says Hichilema should consider donating the generator to an area like Bweengwa in Southern province.

She states that such gestures by the opposition leader are purely political and are unacceptable.

Siliya notes that an area like Chawama is already developed and has a competent member of parliament who is able to attend to challenges such as the provision of power to a clinic or hospital.

And Siliya has encouraged those invited to make submission before the parliamentary select committee on the constitution amendment bill to do so.

She has further encouraged citizens to make their way to parliament on 26th September when it will be opened for ordinary citizens to make submissions.

Meanwhile, Siliya has acknowledged the long hours of load shedding are affecting small businesses in the country ( QTV News).

  2. Dora you need to sober up. You are now playing with people’s livelihood. It cant be about you political gratification all the time please. These people you are punishing do not live in air conditioned mansions, with ZP guarding them 24/7, several government vehicles parked outside with full tanks and drivers on standby. Be humane and let them be assisted. We all know that the government will not come to their aid so please shut up and let HH help if he wants to. Don’t make this a personal vandator at the expense of the suffering innocent women and children. God is not pleased with your selfishness my dear. One day you will no longer be minister and karma can be even more of a real bi&@h than someone i knew at campus.

  3. It is not just those in Lusaka who need such donations, those in rural areas have a vote as well politicians can be tricky why not help those who need it most.
People in Lusaka have most of the benefits from politicians than those in villages who are languishing in abject poverty but no one bother so much as they care about people in Lusaka.

  4. Certain reactions from the public are incited by the very leaders we have. Some leaders in South Africa were in the forefront justifying the attacks on foreigners. The kind of hatred exhibited by some of the leaders in Zambia leaves much to be desired.Leaders are supposed to refrain from uttering hate speach, but alas, its not the case with the current crop of leaders we have. They preach hatred publicly and with impunity. Just accept the donations and channel them to the needy,it ends there. The same people rejecting the same donations don’t even feel the brunt of hardships faced by the poor.Let’s revisit and preach love.

  5. pf you are kicking yourselves out of power which of cos you cant manage properly. the same people you are depriving of this food are the same voters for 2021. no matter wonder you are struggling to change the constitution law of the land to rigg the elections. you could have done better to show concern to allow the donation. do you think by starving these people it will change the minds to vote for you.

  6. Dora, let me remind you with your short sighted and tribalist friends in PF. You said this to Michael Sata that Eastern province was a no go area but you where very happy to come to Northern, Luapula, Muchinga and and others peovinces. The rate at what you are exhibiting hatred, tribalism, suppression and enforcing the laws that are anarchy and a source of divide and rule will catch up with you.HH is zambian and is free to give or build a hospital, houses for anyone in Zambia. So PF cadres or ministers are more zambians than others. Im bemba and can not hid my feelings imagine i was told you cant go to southern or western because of tribe? Zambia will end up like south Africa where a minister was pointing fingers at innocent foreigners who established businesses as taking away jobs when the govt had failed to create jobs for black south Africans
Zambians are not stupid we live side by side despite of 73 tribes
