Police in Lusaka have rejected the ruling Patriotic Front’s notice of intention to march to NDG leader Chishimba Kambwili’s residence.

PF members had notified police of their intention to deliver a petition to Kambwili’s residence in Kabulonga tomorrow in protest over the opposition leader’s alleged insulting remarks against President Edgar Lungu.

But Lusaka Province police commissioner Nelson Phiri has told the ruling party in a letter dated September 5, 2019 that ” the security situation in the city is not conducive for such an activity to take place without jeopardizing law and order”.
