The UPND says it will only allow its members of parliament to attend state functions after all court cases challenging the legitimacy of the PF Government are disposed of in the courts of law.

And Party Secretary General Steven Katuka says its Keembe Member of Parliament Princess Kasune Zulu is an inexperienced politician who is yet to understand African politics.

Katuka claims that Kasune did not consult the party on whether she could attend the launch of the 2016/17 planting season in Keembe constituency which was officiated by President Edgar Lungu at Huntley Farm last week.

“We will not be part of government until matters concerning the legitimacy of PF government are disposed off in court,” Katuka said in a statement..

“Kasune Zulu knows the stance of the party concerning state functions, she should have consulted the party to attend a state function which was happening in her constituency.

“She should know that this is African democracy and not American democracy, we know she is a new MP and she got a lot to learn about African democracy”
