HH and GBM to hold thanksgiving rally in Kanyama

The UPND in Lusaka have notified the Zambia Police that party leader Hakainde Hichilema and his deputy Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba will on April 2 hold a public rally at Twashuka grounds in Kanyama to talk about a range of issues affecting Zambians.

According to a letter signed by UPND Lusaka Province chairman Bob Sakahilu and delivered to the Lusaka Province Police Commanding Officer today, the two leaders would also thank voters for voting for them in the August 11, 2016 elections.

“We write to notify you that the United Party for National Development President and Vice-President and other senior members of the party will be holding a public rally to address Lusaka residents on many national issues and to thank them for voting for UPND soundingly during the last general election,” said Shakahilu.

“The rally will be on Sunday, the 2nd of April, 2017 in Kanyama Constituency at Twashuka Grounds. As is per custom, the party will provide marshalls to assist with crowd control. Kindly find attatched a list of the same.

The UPND says it has enough marshals to maintain law and order during the public rally.
