CAF Confederation Cup envoys Zesco United will take to the pitch this afternoon in Nigeria when they face Enugu Rangers in the first leg on of their pre-group stage fixture.

Zlatko Krmpotic leads a Zesco United side that has become a regular fixture in CAF competitions having reached the semi finals of the Champions League last year.

It has become natural for Zesco United to fly high on the continent and nothing less will be expected when they do duty in Nigeria.

The 2017 Charity Shield winners will be however without four key players for this fixture with Jackson Mwanza, Simon Silwimba and Mischeck Chaila out injured while Idriss Mbombo is suspended.

Their opponents have had a stuttering campaign in the local league where they sit at the bottom of the table.
Coach Krmpotic has insisted that his side will not count on Enugu Rangers’ woes going into this fixture.

Zesco will host Enugu Rangers in Ndola on 14th April 2017 in Ndola in the return leg.

The match kicks off at 17:00 hour Central African Time (CAT).
