UPND has bemoaned the attack on its member, William Banda’s homestead by alleged ruling party cadres.

Meanwhile, the country has off late registered worrying scenes of politically motivated violence, amid calls by analysts for tolerance across the political divide.

Meanwhile, the police has urged political parties to shun violence, saying the force will not hesitate to bring perpetrators to book.

He said this in response to an attack on a radio station.

“The habit of thugs attacking radio stations under the guise of politics is criminal and should come to an end forthwith,” he said.

He further warned that storming police stations should be stopped immediately, this followed the attack of police officers who were on duty at a police station.
