Newspapers hit the streets

18,000 newspapers have so far been printed by the Zambia Daily Mail.

Acting Managing Director, Simate Simate, says the the target is to print 30,000 copies out of these 20,000 for the Times of Zambia.

Simate says printers are handling the task well as evidenced by the capacity to print 112 pages of the newspapers that usually have an average 24 pages.

He says the rest of the copies will be done around 14:00 hours.

Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Kennedy Kalunga, in company of Ministry Spokesperson, Thabo Kawana, visited the Zambia Daily Mail printing press to get details on the process.

On Thursday government announced 30,496 teachers have been recruited and names of successful candidates would be circulated in the media especially in the tabloids.
