Former First Lady Thandiwe Banda has arrived back in the country from South Africa where she was undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer.

Mrs Banda, who touched down at the Kenneth Kaunda International at around 15:30 hours this afternoon aboard South African Airlines, was received by her husband, Fourth Republican President Rupiah Banda and some family members.

And speaking to Journalists on arrival, Mrs Banda said she was well and fit and thanked friends and family for their prayers and moral support during the period of her illness.

And Former President Rupiah Banda hailed the goodwill and support the Zambian people have given him and his family during the time of his wife’s illness. Banda, who has been on the campaign trail with PF presidential candidate, expressed optimism that that his wife will make a full recovery.

  2. Political party representatives should question the coming of ballot papers at night. This was not ordinary. It would have better to bring them on saturday as per known programme for everyone to see. These guys should not be trusted, they can do anything, look at what happened at the convention, their leader was just chosen by just mere lifting of legs and hands, coupled with injunctions at the court of law .

  7. thandiwe that foolish old man is very hopeless instead of him dieing in riches he chose to die in poverty where you found him as a girl. try to tell him, a teke a matako panshi its too late for him to go back to state house now.even his support for lungu will not help him nevers mumba could have done better in these elections but he spoiled his chances
