Conjoined twins evacuated to UTH

The male conjoined twins who were born three days ago at the Kabwe General hospital have been evacuated to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).

And UTH Director of Clinical Care Alex Makupe who has confirmed the development said a team of specialists has been instituted to closely monitor the twins.

In an interview with ZNBC News, Dr Mukupe said the conjoined twins are currently at the Intensive Care Unit.

The conjoined twins, who are attached at their tummies were delivered on Friday around 08:00 hours through caesarean section.
