Chamber of Mines CEO dies

CHAMBER of Mines Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Maureen Jangulo Dlamini has passed on in Lusaka after a struggle with cancer.


During her tenure at Chamber of Mines, she oversaw the difficult period of instability in mining policies and the VAT Refund crisis for the mining sector.


Maureen had over 10 years experience in the financial services sector at Executive level and had acquired vast technical and business experience in strategic planning, business development, including product and project management.


Her past work experience included being Executive Committee member at Lion of Africa Insurance Company Limited as Executive Head of Corporate Affairs, Executive member at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange responsible for Investor Education and Africa Board.


She was also CEO of Zambezi Airlines.


Mrs.Dlamini served on the Boards of Pro-Flight Zambia Limited and Nyiombo Investments Limited, one of the largest distributor of farming inputs in Zambia .
