Zanaco hand trial to Nigerian midfielder

MTN/FAZ Super League giants Zanaco FC are courting Nigerian attacking midfielder Solomon Izuchukwu.

The 26-year-old is one of three West African player’s on trial in the pre-season with the six-time FAZ Super Division champions at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

Izuchukwu arrives in Zambia after three years in Albania where he played for FK Kukesi and Byllis Ballsh.

Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba said the other two West African trialists are the Cameroonian duo of striker Vincent Yannick and defender Malik Ndam.

“We have looked at the players but we are yet to make a decision, but I am confident that will be done after we conclude our pre-season training,” Numba said.

Zanaco are bolstering their squad ahead of the 2015 season after missing out on the 2014 FAZ Super Division title when they finished third behind Zesco United.
