FB_IMG_1462460846753The opposition UPND has announced that it will launch it’s campaign for the August General election in Kitwe on May 14, 2016.

General Secretary Stephen Katuka made the announcement in a statement today made available to Zambian Eye.

The campaign dubbed HH Will Fix it will be the party’s beginning of the economic liberation campaign.

Below is the announcement:

Zambia is at a crossroads. On 11th August, we have a choice: voting for a Government that has demonstrated during its five years in power it has no vision or a UPND Government that has the action plan to fulfil the potential of our nation and improve the lives of the Zambian people.

The failed leadership of the PF and their lack of planning has broken our economy, causing suffering among our people and widespread job losses, rising food prices and a deteriorating standard of life. Yet, at the same time, this PF Government feast on the spoils of corruption whilst our people suffer. It is time to change. It’s time to fix this economic crisis.

On 14th May 2016, in Kitwe’s Freedom Park, the UPND will launch its campaign: “HH WILL FIX IT.”

This will be a landmark moment that will kick start the economic liberation of Zambia. We call upon all those that want to be part of history to join us in Kitwe on this date.

We will start at 12:00 hours and will be joined by progressive musicians including Pilato, Cavman and many more artists that have chosen to be part of our inclusive movement to fight the common enemy of Zambia that is poverty.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

  1. It is God who can conquer this common enemy called poverty not HH.
Therefore, we can conquer poverty by the grace of God not by the power of man.

do not misuse the grace of God. there are certain things God will intervene directly and where man should be involved before He moves in. God’s power to save is present but it takes man to open his mouth and preach otherwise no one will be saved. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He told the people to untie him. Why?
Voter, interpret the Word of God correctly so that the hears are not confused.

    • He can not give us food directly but ensuring every Zambian is able to live life affordably. Not this situation where you have selected people enjoy while the majority are not able to make it.

  9. Isn’t it time to call for Priscilla Isaacs’ stepping down due to incompetence? What worse incompetence can
there be if she cant even adjudicate tenders? Can she manage an election well then?

  13. Indeed Priscilla Isaac should step down for failure to award a simple tender. ECZ is acting incompetently through that woman. How long can it take to adjudicate a simple tender? Why has ECZ resolved to print it elsewhere in Dubai other than the usual South African base? Those are are the questions to answer before you decide to print elsewhere..
