Chipolopolo Vice Captain, Nathan Sinkala has been excused from National duty to allow him attend to family matters and will miss tomorrow’s COSAFA plate final against Malawi.

Team manager Lusekelo Kamwambi has told in South Africa that Sinkala will this weekend have a traditional marriage blessing ceremony and as such “has been excused from camp”.

The 2012 Africa cup winning midfielder yesterday led a resurgent Zambia ¬†that beat Ghana 3-0 in the COSAFA Plate semifinal at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace. Sinkala’s volley outside the box was Zambia’s third goal that silenced Ghana.

And coach Honour Janza has thanked Sinkala for his commitment to the team.

Sinkala has since left Sun City in South Africa for Lusaka.

One Response to Sinkala to miss Malawi clash

  1. Football players in South African region, particularly Zambia are not serious about their profession. Taking time off in the middle of a job crisis to have your marriage traditionally blessed!!!! If you compare these fools to their Western African counterparts, you wonder why their friends are making millions while they are making peanuts. They make $20000, they want time off to go and show their friends in Kamitondo and drink Chibuku. Be serious Mr Vice Captain, that marriage blessing thing would have been postponed
