Barely a week  after Secretary to Cabinet Evans Chibiliti was retired, President Michael Sata has with immediate effect retired deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Teddy Mulonga in what he calls ‘national interest.’

President Sata announced Mr. Mulonga retirement in a press statement released by his Spokesperson George Chellah on Tuesday.

He has thanked Mr. Mulonga for the services he rendered to the country during his short tenure of office.

President Sata has replaced Mr. Mulonga with Ambassador Peter Kasanda while  Dr Roland Msiska was appointed to act as Secretary to the Cabinet.

Ambassador Kasanda has been serving as Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been replaced by Margaret Miyoba who has been transferred from Luapula Province to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same capacity.

The statement says the changes are with immediate effect.
