President Michael Sata has with immediate effect retired Emmanuel Mwamba as Permanent Secretary Cabinet Office.

The announcement is contained in a press statement released Wednesday, October 30, 2013 by President Sata’s Spokesperson George Chellah.

“This is to confirm that with immediate effect, you have been retired in National Interest. I wish to thank you most sincerely for the services you rendered to the Government during your tenure of office,” read President Sata’s letter to Mwamba in part.

The Head of State has wished Mr. Mwamba success in his future endeavours

Mwamba two days ago was told off by President Sata for issuing National Coverage Broadcasting Licenses to two private Radio Stations.  Mwamba was later the same day removed from Information Ministry as Permanent Secretary to Cabinet Office.
