Zambian coach Herve Renard has saluted defender Stopilla Sunzu, saying the TP Mazembe star is at the peak of his game.

Sunzu on Saturday shrugged off jet lag after flying from Ghana to Dar-es-Salaam just 24 hours earlier to turn out an impressive defensive display after coming on in the second half of Zambia’s 1-0 loss in a friendly against Tanzania.

According to MTN that central defender Sunzu has shown quality even on a bad day. The player who was not fit for the friendly game against Tanzania still managed to show the funs his good performance.

The Chipolopolo team which starts their defense of the Africa Cup in January against Ethiopia on January 21, 2013 ,has assembled a 26 man
squad which will be trimmed to 23 before the AfCON kick off. The team will also use the training camp in South Africa to prepare for the friendlies against Morocco, and Norway in January just in time for the AfCON.

Zambia is in group C of the Africa Cup of Nations with Ethiopia, Nigeria and Bukina Faso.
