Power appoints Zimbabwe based Chilumba as Coach

Kitwe giants, Power Dynamos has appointed former national team player Tenant Chilumba as its new coach.

Chilumba who was until his appointment coach of FC Platinum of Zimbabwe replaces, Beston Chambeshi who was fired earlier this month (June) after recording a string of poor results. He is expected to be unveiled as coach any time this weekend.

FC Platinum has also confirmed Chilumba’s appointment by Power. A statement from FC Platinum President, George Mawere said on Wednesday June 12,2013 that it had agreed to release him as its coach after Power Dynamos requested for his services.

“The club adivces that it has agreed with immediate effect to release Chilumba as its first team coach following requests for his his services by Power Dynamos of Zambia as well as that country’s football authorities where he serves as a member of the technical team”.

The team has since appointed Tendai Chikuni who was assistant to Chilumba as caretaker coach until a replacement is found” Mawere said
