Police launch manhunt for UPND cadres

Police in Monze District of Southern Province have launched a man hunt for suspected UPND cadres who almost killed two brothers for wearing PF party regalia.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says Police are investigating a report of unlawful wounding and assault.

Katongo says the victims were identified as Maxwell and Bornwell Meleki aged 21 and 22, of the same family.

In a statement to ZNBC news in Lusaka today, Katongo said the victims were wounded and assaulted by Tululu Shingalwe, Jimmy, and Paul Bwembelo.

She said the victims sustained deep cuts on the left side of the belly and a cut on the upper lip.

Katongo said broken bottles and fists were allegedly used in the act, which occurred on December 19th around 01 hours.

She said dockets have been opened and medical report forms issued to the victims. -znbc
