PF MP denies battering wife

PF Chifubu Member of Parliament Frank Ng’ambi has pleaded not guilty to one count of assault on his wife Mubanga Chikomo Ng’ambi. He has since been granted bail pending trial.

This is in a case where Ng’ambi is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Particulars of the offence are that Ng’ambi on June 7 2019, in Ndola, Copperbelt did assault Mubanga Chikomo Ng’ambi.

When the matter came up for plea before Ndola magistrate Chinga Chitabo this morning, Ng’ambi entered a not guilty plea.

His lawyer Kenneth Tembo then applied for bail and Magistrate Chitabo granted Ng’ambi a bail of K2,000 with two working sureties pending trial.

The case has been set for 11th July 2019 for commencement of trail.
