The Zambia National Football team on Monday arrived back from Namibia where the team lost 2-1 in the first leg of the group stage of the CHAN qualifiers.

ZNBC reports that the air Namibia carrying the national team landed at the Kenneth Kaunda international airport at 11:30hrs.

And speaking in an interview on arrival Chipolopolo Caretaker Coach George Lwandamina said not all hope is lost.

Lwandamina says he is confident that his side will overturn the result in the return leg.

He however expressed disappointment that his side could not hold on to the first half lead.

Lwandamina added that the boys played very well in the first half but lost concentration in the second half and got punished.

He says the technical bench will work on the mistakes and ensure that the team gets a positive result in the return match at home.

Meanwhile, Lwandamina has dismissed speculations that being Caretaker Coach is affecting his performance.

He says what matters is that he has a task to serve the national and he already has a contractor as Zesco United Coach.
