Lusaka province Minister Bowman  Lusambo has toured RATSA and says the place is a bleeding place for corruption.

In a statement, Lusambo who has been touring other government departments said he was disappointed with what he found at RATSA.

I undertook another surprise visit at strategic public institutions in my quest to check on the quality of service delivery.

In response to the calls from Zambians, I toured the Department of National Registration Office in Lusaka and RTSA Lumumba and Debian Kimathi Offices.

Contrary to some publicly held view, I found that the NRC office was infact operating efficiently and attending to the public. I was however disappointed with what I found at both RTSA offices I toured.

The level of service delivery at RTSA offices leaves much to be desired. The long queues do not offer confidence to our people and may be a breeding ground for corruption.

It was unfortunate that only one service counter was operating at Lumumba to cater for hundreds of people requiring services such as renewal of motor vehicle licenses, registration of motor vehicles and renewal of driver licenses.

Our people expect better service delivery and I will ensure that Lusaka Province sets an example on how public institutions should operate. If you are aware of any public institutions or departments that need to improve, kindly leave your suggestion in the comment sector or inbox me. Let us work forget for a better Lusaka.

  1. Yes indeed that is what corruption can do , they make sure that you are under great fear and insecure to take what belongs to you, because of pressure people are forced to find a quicker way to obtain what they want .
Really it is a shame how people who are given responsibility can pressurerise people to give them bribes to get what is theirs freely.
Mr minister that is a good move wearth it .
In good countries such things are never allowed to happen , it is the public officers who wait for people to come without hindrances , no one waits in ques to be served , you dont spend ten minutes before you get what you are entitled for.
Zambians need to change in the way they do their duties .
