Lungu swears in new deputy army chief

President Edgar Lungu has sworn-in Major General Dennis Alibuzwi as Deputy Army Commander in a ceremony held at State House in Lusaka today.

Major General Alibuzwi was on December 31, 2018 appointed and promoted following the sacking of Major General Jackson Miti.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, President Lungu reminded Major General Alibuzwi of the importance of discipline in the defense force.

And Major General Alibuzwi told journalists at State House that he was thankful to the Head of State for showing confidence in his abilities and promised to diligentlyexecute his duties.

The swearing in ceremony was also attended by Vice President Inonge Wina.
