It is over for Lubinda, Disciplinary Committee recommends his expulsion

It is now over for Given Lubinda, Zambia’s Foreign Minister as the governing party – PF disciplinary committee has recommended that he be expelled from the party.

The committee chaired by Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu sat for three days in Lusaka and interviewed Lubinda and other members facing disciplinary charges. Lubinda is allegedly to be leaking sensitive party and government information to the opposition parties and the media.

Lungu announced yesterday in Lusaka without giving the findings that his committee had concluded its seating and will now proceed to hand over its findings to the PF Central Committee that convenes this Wednesday.

Insiders that were part of the seating has told Zambian Eye that the committee has recommended that Lubinda be relieved from his Ministerial position and then expelled from the party. The Central Committee which is the highest organ for PF in between Congress will make the final decision.

With what is obtaining in the party and government it is unlikely that Lubinda will survive as party Secretary General and President Michael Sata according to the people close are set to get rid of him.
