Prof Hansungule

By Prof. Michelo Hansungule

In the midst of emergency rule, you must be corrupt to the core to celebrate. Obviously, if you are as corrupt as this regime, there is every reason for you to celebrate.
Fifty three years down the memory lane, Zambia is a shadow itself. All because of a very stupid decision by us Zambians to fail to fight election rigging the way Kenyans are so successfully doing it. Fifty three years after political independence from Britain, has Zambia produced one Judge who is a Judge like Kenyan four Supreme Court judges, the answer is obvious. Fifty three years after so-called independence, all we can show is extreme levels of corruption starting from State House. That is all Zambia can show, corruption, corruption, corruption. May I suggest that we change the national anthem to corruption?
If you look at how the opposition in Kenya and now in government in Ghana are fighting for democracy, Zambia’s opposition become babies, in fact foetus’. So much planning by opposition went into the preparations towards the elections in these two countries that despite obvious advantages, the incumbency did not guarantee expected victory in Ghana. Uhuru Kenyatta is damn shocked he is not substantive president yet despite his cooked up ‘victories’. A well prepared opposition hit him where it pains harder he can’t believe it. How can a Judge he himself appointed to office throw him out of the office of president in such an embarrassing way? In your wildest of dreams, do you ever think this could happen in Zambia? You must be a wild dreamer if you do.
Of course others may say but we removed RB in 2011, why is he talking about Uhuru and Mahama? Why talk about Kenya and Ghana when we did it in Zambia first in 1991 against Kaunda wamuyaaya and then against RB?

Well, RB we did not remove. Realistically speaking, RB removed himself due to his extreme levels of corruption. Just look at how in just three years he became so rich, in just three years? RB was languishing on his barren farm in the Eastern Province when Levy Mwanawasa stumbled upon him. Because Levy would not allow him to corruptly accumulate his billions under his watch, he did not get rich then. Given the meagre salary of president, RB would not get rich in the three years he was president unless he got a loan or grant from God. Why would God give him a grant and not me? If all these doors are closed, question is how did he get so rich in only three years yet Kaunda who served twenty seven years has nothing to show?
It shouldn’t be surprising, therefore, that Edgar has embraced RB. Didn’t a wise ancestor say ‘birds of the same furthers fly together’? Next time you see them, remember this wise saying. Though RB belonged to MMD and Edgar to PF and the latter evicted the former from power, their furthers are the same colour. Have you ever seen the color of corruption? Look very closely at the two and you know the colour.
In order to enjoy themselves without any disturbance from the poor, they proclaim emergency rule. Have you read the emergency regulations? Go and get a copy from the Government Printers, it is a shame. Next time, they will invoke draconian emergency regulations and banish all those of us who dare speak out to our villages. Edgar has bestowed power upon himself to turn whole villages into prisons – my GOD! Even if you support Edgar, you are just his tail for him to play around as he wishes under his emergency.
Enjoy your corruption, it is your independence!

  3. Only those who know how devastating corruption is can agree with the profesor, if you are one of those involved in it surely you would think tribal. Mike Kalonje, you are the most corrupt person even your grade 12, if you have anything it was through corruption. A very learned person wouldn’t support corruption. The profesor is able to analyse recent issues of corruption raised by a number of stakeholders and that is his conclusion. I expect my government to defend itself on those corrupt allegations and try to be transparent in most of its dealings. Let them follow the laid down procedures as stipulated. Mind you those are public offices which are guided by the code of conduct, anything outside is questionable. Mike ngaulichikopo ulifye ichikopo, no matter how sensible something might be you only see tribal. May God who sees what is in you deal with you.

  6. THIS PROFESSOR HANSUNGULE HAS HE ANYTHING POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT ZAMBIA? HE IS ALWAYS IN THE PRESS CRITICIZING ZAMBIA THIS ZAMBIA THAT MEANWHILE HIS HAIR IS BECOMING MORE GRAY BY THE DAY. WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO TELL HIM? HE CAN CRITICIZE ZAMBIA AS MUCH AND AS LONG AS HE WANTS UNTIL CHICKENS COME HOME. IF HE THINKS HE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO ZAMBIA LET HIM RETURN HOME AND CONTRIBUTE JUST LIKE OTHERS. I AM TOLD THE LATE MWANAWASA REACHED OUT TO HIM BEFORE HE REALIZED HE WAS JUST AN ARMCHAIR CRITIC AND JUST A LOUD MOUTH WHO HAS NOTHING TO OFFER. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE LATE MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA WOULD ASK, “HAVE YOU BUILT EVEN A TOILET IN YOUR VILLAGE?” HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO BE EXPOSED TO HANSUNGULE’S IGNORANCE ABOUT THE ZAMBIAN POLITICAL SITUATION? LET THE PROFESSOR CONTINUE CHEWING IN SOUTH AFRICA AND LET THE SERIOUS PEOPLE IN ZAMBIA CONTINUE DEVELOPING THE COUNTRY. PLEASE PEOPLE IGNORE THIS NINCOMPOOP!

      • What facts? Spewing bitterness is facts? This is a very shallow article written by a very bitter man. In his bitterness he is not able to articulate to the young generation the true meaning of political independence and that we should not confuse political independence with economic independence. On 24th October, 1964 we became politically independent – and that is what all of us should celebrate. It is different from the economics of a household. Very shallow article by the professor.

  7. With wisdom, you see far beyond the horizon. Lacking wisdom is when you fail to see beyond. To support corruption is to fail to reason, failure to understand the ills of corruption is agony. Umwana Usweenda, atasha nyina pakunaya ubwaali. Go round some developed countries, see how much they have done, just because the finances of their countries are put into good use. They have good hospitals advanced, schools universities. The reason is simple, no one pockets the money, but its all put into good use. So a silly man without wisdom will call the professor names just because he has hit the snail on the head.Anyways, we can not blame you, after all you can not compare Zambia to anywhere, its the only place you know. The day you will see other places, you may join us as we cry to have a developed country, for we know that it is possible.

  9. HANSUNGULE MOSTLY FINDS SPACE IN ZAMBIA EYE AND ZAMBIAN WATCHDOG, I DON’T KNOW WHY. LET HIM WRITE FOR OTHER NEWS OUTLETS LIKE LUSAKA TIMES, ZAMBIAN REPORTS AND MWEBANTU AS WELL. I AGREE WITH “I AM NOT AN ARMCHAIR CRITIC” THAT HANSUNGULE IS A MR. SOUR GRAPES FOR REASONS HE BEST KNOWS HIMSELF. HE IS THE TYPE WHO THINKS BECAUSE HE HAS PROF IN FRONT OF HIM HE THINKS BETTER THAN OTHERS. WE ALL HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE IN THIS LIFE. AND WE SHOULD LEARN TO SEE SOME POSITIVES IN OTHERS. SURELY LUNGU CANNOT BE ALL BAD? THE OTHER PROBLEM WITH HANSUNGULE IS THAT HE THINKS THAT NONE OF THE ZAMBIAN LEADERS ZAMBIA HAS HAD WERE ANY GOOD.SURE? AGAIN IF HE THINKS ONLY HIMSELF CAN MAKE A GOOD LEADER FOR ZAMBIA LET HIM RETURN HOME AND FORM A PARTY.I CAN TELL YOU HE WILL BE LIKE CHAMA CHAKOMBOKA OR MULIOKELA IN ELECTIONS WHEN HE CONTESTS. NO, THIS HANSUNGULE IS JUST ANOTHER TRIBALIST WHO THINKS ONLY A TONGA IS GOOD. HE HAS NOT CRITICISED HH’S POLICIES AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER. HE IS AN EDUCATED TRIBALIST WHICH IS A TRAGEDY OF MAJOR PROPORTIONS. WE EXPECT SOMETHING BETTER FROM THE LIKES OF HIM SPECIALLY AFTER 33 YEARS OF ZAMBIA’S INDEPENDENCE AND CONSIDERING HE IS A PROFESSOR. WAKE UP PROFESSOR! ZAMBIA HAS ALOT OF SPACE FOR ALL US.

  10. I never celebrated independent at all. Zambiis. We are not free but being colonializwd and enslaved,
On Zambia’s Independence day, which is also the United Nations Day. I call upon the UN Security Council, UN Secretary General, EU, AU, SADC and the International Community at large to condemn the colonial manipulation inflicted on me to extort my UN benefits in abuse of Zambia’s state machinery. President ECL himself said he was not going to allow colonialism. the 2030 sustainable development goals and needs intervention by the UNSC. You have evidence of more than 10 Lawyers mobbing me to steal my UN ben fit entitlement, whilst Policemen and others illegally sit on my money and underachieved women helping the under skilled men to pillage me. This is what we are reporting to the UNSC, and we need our voices heard. The fight against GV should be as aggressive as the ruin it dies to its victims. Zero tolerance, zero impunity, zero complacency. There is nothing like sorry, forgive me after you inflict someone with such deplorable acts.

I urge African Union, President ECL and the SADC to confront the UNSC like I did, So that they come up with a resolution to make those that targeted the Zambian justice system to use it for colonial activities, to account for undermining Zambia,’s justice system and Africa as a whole. They induced and fooled Zambian lawyers to conduct colonialism to the detriment of their own careers and professions. And to harm and stifle my livelihood and future of my children. They made Zambian men look foolish and useless, as more than 10 of them mobbed me and stole my vehicle which cost me an equivalent of my three months salary, but they abused tax payers money, the justice system human resources ad state machinery, running up and down for almost three years trying to legitimize such theft of a motor vehicle. It shows the world what quality of men Zambia has and how rife gender violence in Zambia is. The majority are under skilled and lack capacity of generating funds, but they resort to attacking women. Instead of improving their skills. Gender violence is on the increase, as that is the way the majority of Zambian men seem to be earning their living. Then disappointingly , they use underachieved women to harm those that are Successful. I urge such under skilled women to improve their skills and livelihoods. You cannot steal from a learned woman and expect to get away with such impunity. The majority of us highly skilled women have nothing to do with you, you cannot compete with us. We just want to see that you also work hard and receive the support you need for you to earn and live a better life. In my case I don’t compete with local women. Even they gossip about me “ anti ayonda”, I have nothing to do with them, they are obese because of illiteracy and bad eating colonial habits. They are not my match and I just work hard to improve my skills and livelihood and catch up and keep abreast with modern changing technology. Even if the bandit men use them to steal from me, well that does not decrease my worth. I will just work hard and make them account for their misconduct. I don’t even have anything to do with their local men, because I am highly skilled and internationally oriented. I need people who think like me, not men who behave like monkeys, “ meto meto” envying my UN status. It’s mine, I am the one who achieved it and I have the right to defend what I worked hard for. Those are the skills I need you guys to learn. So my fellow Zambian women, stop bothering yourself about me. I worked so hard in my life and travelled so much already and I will not give you impunity to targeting what is mine. I encourage you to learn more skills and learn to live. Free life and an innovative and healthy livelihood. Not conspiring to steal or get what you have no capacity to generate or buy. Don’t damage your futures with such crimes. We have to develop our universe in free environments where there is Order and respect for one another and human dignity. A bash with your colonial thinking.

I bought my vehicle one off from what I worked for; but they cannot buy it like I did, instead they used a Zambian PF Minister to steal it from me; and waste the state’s resources, running up and down inflicting fraud and deception on the court, to the detriment of their legal profession. But no matter what deception the inflicted on the court. The state has no jurisdiction in their manufactured claims. They must be criminally prosecuted and debarred from the courts and its machinery , and I demand that LAZ and ZIALE revoke their profession. They cannot aid illegality. Makebi Zulu Advocates must be de registered immediately.

These more than 10 lawyers who conspired and abused their pros signs and state machinery, in their colonial wickedness of illegally occupying me and extorting all what I earned at the UN and in my Zambia Police career, hard for, they even sank so low to extent of sexually harassing me and attempting to kill me, as they have no capacity to generate all what they stole from me. They made me to flee my house in such violence to prevent me from progressing the criminal charges and prosecutions against the Minister, because that is the time he was going into elections; then that’s the method they used to follow me in hiding and poisoned me. I need appropriate accountability monitored by the UNSC in these deplorable gender violence. The world must accept, that gender violence is increased by the high level of under skilled men, and they must come up with a strategy to stop such inhuman and degrading acts on women. The colonialism inflicted on me was as a result of gender inferiority complex and hatred conspiracy by my former colleagues in the Zambia Police Service and they planned and coordinated it from Zambia, to the UN, the USA and back to Zambia. Hence the need for the concerted justice mechanism and a full UN GA to look into it, especially that there are scamsters based in the USA, who progressed the illegal occupation on me. I am not giving anyone impunity and I request President ECL to take the lead in making sure that an international law enforcement platform to sort out such colonialism is put in place soon. Why should I be colonially occupied, when the colonies are over and Africa swore upon its founding fathers never to allow colonialism on its continent again. So no one must take such insults again.

To my fellow Zambians, I call on the entire Africa to condemn you for the colonial reprehensible gender violence inflicted on me, just because I am female and I progressed to join the United Nations. The suspects colonially and grossly infringed on my due process rights, including my right to life, and those of my children. My daughter was even killed in such gender inferiority complex. The UN needs to get rid of 3 implicated Zambian UN staff members who have been oppressing others colonially. They have been inciting violence and mobbing other Zambians who progressed to the UN and they allegedly killed some and stole their death benefits. They did that to me and conspired to control my money, benefits and all I have achieved as if they owned me or my money; and they then incited their friends and relatives in Zambia to pillage me in abuse of state machinery and by inflicting and spiriting false pretext, deception and fraud on the courts. They induced 10 Zambian lawyers who manufactured vexatious suits as methods of stealing from me and legitimizing their ill gotten proceeds, when the courts are meant for justice; and they have been inciting people from helping me with my court needs, like printing documents and filing fees, with the hope of my missing out on progress of the matter, but such acts constitute money laundering in funneling of vital information so as to obtain an unfair advantage over me; and I need them to be criminally processed for with holding my money and then grouping with others to stop them from helping me, acts which constitute crimes against humanity. There is lack of humanity and humanism in such colonial activities, and disappointingly, it lawyers exhibiting it. That’s how some Zambians still lack in social skills. Even if they with hold my money, they have no right to steal or deprive me of my belongings. I bought in shops and showrooms, why steal from me like a monkey?? That’s how people in the WEST still commit racism calling black people as monkeys or Apes, because of such thuggery. life is for improving all the time and not pulling others backwards. I don’t belong to such a society. Even people who owe me money became complacent fearing that I will be filing court papers. To hell with such thinking, as justice ought to be fair. I must file as much as I can, as only decisions made on complete, accurate and relevant information are legal and fair. Hoarding information is fraud and Anything outside complete, relevant and accurate information , is illegal and unfair and not binding at all, and the commencement of any inquiry is determined by the relevant statute, not lawyers going to see their relative to attach them to my vehicle which is on the RED book and when I do not even owe them any money, and even their manufactured claim is a crime, and without according me an opportunity to be heard, they even committed perjury when confronted. Yet me a Lady, spent a three months salary to purchase such vehicle, one time. There was terrible abuse, recklessness, fraud, malice and envy in the way Makebi Zulu and his Advocates stole my vehicle, and I appeal to the world to help me criminally prosecute them. They stoke like rats or monkeys from me, and The state is reluctant to proceed with the criminal prosecution. They offended the rule of law and committed an offense as stated on the RED BOOK, and must immediately be arrested. No matter how deceptively they have been.
