I will always be UPND, Mazabuka Member of Parliament Gary Nkombo has charged.

Nkombo who has quit his position as Chief Whip for the opposition UPND says he has decided to leave the position while the audience is still clapping.

The UPND has since appointed Liuwa lawmaker Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane to take up the position.

Commenting on the development, Nkombo wrote:

Hon Gary Nkombo Mp for mazabuka constituency write

This is me. I am not troubled by the Nay sayers, the doom architects. UPND IS not party to depart from if your faculties are intact. My eyes remain in (on) the ball. My body heart and soul cant transform from UPND.

Somethings simply never change and they remain the same. I am UPND for life. Hakainde remains my hero, mentor, brother and friend. Hon Situmbeko Musokotwane is now the man and he has my full support in good and bad times.

Let me just share with who ever may be interested. In my life in the privileged position of being Whip in 2011 I worked with the following colleagues; Yamfwa Mukanga, PF, Ngosa Simbyakula P.F, Richard Musukwa P.F and now Steve Chungu PF ALL AS WHIPS . In six to seven years.

It’s honorous for me to retire and leave the stage while the music is on and people are clapping. Once again I owe it to my main man HH. Aint no stopping us now, we on the move.
