HH’s statement on Kwacha appreciating misleading – Kambwili

Government says the appreciation of the Kwacha is as a result of increased investor confidence and improved economic management.

And Chief Government Spokesperson, Chishimba Kambwili says UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema’s statement on the appreciation of the Kwacha is misleading.

Mr. Kambwili says Mr. Hichilema’s statement is meant to mislead citizens on the state of the economy.

And Mr. Kambwili who is also Minister of Information and Broadcasting has announced that government will continue paying meal allowances to University students.

He however, urged politicians to desist from politicking over the behaviour of the students at Universities.

Mr. Kambwili said it is government’s intention to ensure smooth running of Universities by having well behaved students.

Meanwhile Mr. Kambwili said government is concerned and alarmed by what he termed as continued insults of citizens by UPND vice president for administration, Geoffrey Mwamba – ZNBC
