Govt abolishes automatic progression for grade 7

Minister of Education Douglas Syakalima says all the grade 7 pupils who sat for 2022 examination have made it to the next grade under automatic progression.
Syakalima however says this is the last time the grade 7 examination where automatic progression has been considered.
Effective 2023 pupils will have to obtain set pass result mark before progression says Syakalima.
Speaking at media briefing at Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) today, Syakalima Said the pupils who will fail grade 7 examination will have to repeat or go for a skill training at TEVETA.
