Government has secured One billion Kwacha to be paid to contractors in the Ministries of Health, Education and Infrastructure.

Minister of Finance Felix Mutati says moneys will be disbursed among the three Ministries to expedite works on various infrastructure projects.

Mutati explains that government wants to swiftly handle the current debts owed to contractors engaged in infrastructure development in order to set a new page.

He adds that K300,000,000 will be directed to the Ministry of Health to expedite the construction of various health facilities.

Mutati said this after a familiarisation tour of some infrastructure projects under construction at the University Teaching Hospital Wednesday.

And Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya said the development will speed up the modernisation program under his Ministry.

Dr. Chilufya said the money will also help address the erratic water supply at the UTH.
