The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased fuel pump prices effective midnight of 31st January, 2024.

ERB Board Chairman Reynord Bowa has attributed the increase to the depreciation of the Kwacha which he said has resulted in an increase in the domestic wholesale and pump prices of petroleum products with the exception of kerosene.

Bowa said the price of kerosene has been maintained on account of sufficient national stocks.

He said the prices for petrol, diesel and jet A-I have been adjusted.

Petrol will now sell at K 34.19 per 1itre, Diesel at K32.15 per litre; and Jet A-1 at K 32.69 per 1itre respectively. The price of kerosene has been maintained at K20.44/1itre.
