Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) launched the 2023 Corruption Perception Index (CPI) which has shown that Zambia has made a 4 point improvement from 33 in 2022 to 37 in 2023 thereby improving the ranking from 116 to 98 out of 180 countries assessed under the CPI.

This comes after many years of a declining record for the Southern African country.

This remarkable improvement showcases the country’s commitment to combating corruption and fostering transparency.

It is a noteworthy achievement considering that just a year ago, in 2022, Zambia was ranked at 116th place.

This positive shift reflects the government’s efforts to implement effective anti-corruption measures and promote accountability, which are crucial for the country’s development and reputation on the global stage.
