Drug trafficking allegations angers State House

State House has reacted sharply on allegations that President Lungu is using a presidential jet with his friend Findley trafficking drugs.

In a brief statement made available to Zambian Eye Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Isaac Chipampe directed law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter.

On Monday, opposition NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili accused President Edgar Lungu of using a presidential plane to courier illegal drugs with his friend Valden Findlay.

Kambwili who speaking at a media briefing challenged President Lungu to tell the nation the nature of business he is involved in with Findlay, who he says is a drug dealer.

The outspoken opposition leader wondered why whenever Lungu emerges from the door of the presidential plane, the next person to emerge is Findlay.

Kambwili asked Lungu to deny reports that he and Findlay are using the presidential plane to supply cocaine and other illegal substances.

He wondered why the president could be associating himself with a well known drug dealer and partner of international drug-lord Goswami.

Kambwili appealed to the USA to come to Zambia and arrest Findlay.

State House wants those making the allegations to picked and prove on how the Head of State is trafficking drugs.
