The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has made some changes to its calendar.

The body has postponed the CHAN and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournaments to 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Some of the changes are that the Cup semi-final and final matches both to be played in Morocco will have a single leg each.

Meanwhile, the African Champions League semi-final will also be a single match.

The final will be hosted by Cameroon.

The changes will also witness the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the AWCON and the launch of the new competition, Women’s Champions League in 2021.

One Response to CAF announces changes to the football calendar

  1. FAZ should just stick to the January to December calendar. It is more convenient than this European calendar we have adopted. Its just a monkey see monkey do thing by Africans. It doesn’t help our soccer in any way. There are plenty of South americans in Europe but we have never heard Brazil Argentina or Uruguay changing their calendar to suit European soccer. Be brave and do your own thing you Africans. That’s why everyone thinks you are push overs to be tossed this way and that way

    Proud to be an African
