British smokers would rather quit sex than cigarettes

PUFF-happy Brits would rather live without SEX than stop smoking, according to a new study. Of the smokers aiming to quit in the New Year, over half would sacrifice romps to save their ciggies.

QuitFullStop, an online quit smoking resource, polled over 1,000 smokers to find out if quitting is on their shortlist of priorities for 2013 – and a whopping 68 per cent said yes.

But surprisingly money worries beat health to the top reason to stop. Other smokers cited concern for their family as a reason to ditch the dreaded cancer sticks.

It seems this lot might be doomed to failure all the same though – over a third admitted they had never gone without a fag for more than a day.
