Black Mambas have invaded MMD – Nevers Mumba’s Boy

Nevers Mumba’s Boy Bowman Lusambo says the suspension of his Boss by some National Executive Committee members Tuesday evening is null and void.

The MMD NEC chaired by Kapinga Pande suspended Dr. Mumba for gross misconduct and adopted former president Rupiah Banda as the party presidential candidate in the January 20 Presidential Special election.

But Lusambo who heads a Youth Wing in the opposition party describes the move as an illegal take over. He said this in a statement Wednesday morning to Zambian Eye.

Below is the statement in full:

As MMD youths, we wish to place it on record that the purported suspension of Dr Nevers Mumba from the MMD is illegal, callous and null and void.
The alleged NEC meeting was illegal as it was irregularly called. We do not therefore recognise any resolutions whatsoever that such a Kangaroo process would come up with.
We support Dr Nevers Mumba’s resolve not to surrender to these vultures who have no shame in their conduct. We are however not so surprised by their desperate attempts because their political histories are littered with scandals and terrible miscalculations.
A look at the few NEC members that attended the so called meeting shows men and women who are less on values, broke and ready to sell their souls for a few pieces of silver.
Take Muhabi Lungu for instance, this is the gentleman who does not even appreciate the importance of good appearance. He takes pride in his shabby demeanor. As MMD youths, we are now forced to agree with sentiments by Dora Siliya that Muhabi’s brain is non functional due to a lack of a bath.
As for Mr Rupiah Banda, we believe he is a spent force who does not offer anything new to the political landscape. We are hesitant to lay into his skin because we would like to treat him with some level of respect as demanded by our African culture.
With hesitation, we wish to remind Zambians of Mr Banda and Muhabi’s political history and their desperation for power. These are two people that were mentioned in the infamous Black Mamba group which attempted to seize power illegally.
We believe their DNA is about illegal power take overs. Mr Banda is a foreigner in MMD as much as Muhabi. There DNA is UNIP and their ways are UNIPIST. They cannot function in a democratic dispensation in which the MMD thrives. The Black Mamba group and their new members have now regrouped and want to take over the MMD. Their mission is to suck the MMD until it dies in the same manner they killed UNIP.
Most of the people surrounding Mr Banda today fled the MMD just after the September 2011 defeat to PF. They cut their association with the party and withdraw any level of support to the party. These are men and women who mocked Dr Mumba that the MMD was broke and he was failing to raise resources for the party. We worked hard with Dr Mumba to keep the party afloat and now that it has become attractive to Zambians again, the same turncoats want to regroup in Mafia style to take over the MMD.
Let it be made clear that these old and desperate despots will not be given any chance to mismanage the MMD. We will fight to the bitter end and ensure that democracy and morality is restored in the MMD.
As stated, it is either Nevers or the MMD dies.
