Teachers at Makoye Boarding School are living in fear following the Leopards that are looming around the area, reports Zambian Eye Journalist in Southern province.

Makoye Boarding School is 27Kms from Mazabuka town.

On Monday a Leopard attacked three people living near the school leaving them with serious injuries. The Victims have been struggling for their lives in Mazabuka District Hospital.

The Leopard was then shot by a Villager after attacking two people before it attacked him and died.

This has caused fear among the Teachers at the School who say about three Leopards have been spotted in the school campus in the last five days.

‘We are now living in fear because it seems these Leopards are on the loose,’ a Teacher at Makoye Boarding School told Zambian Eye in an exclusive interview.

‘The problem we have is that Zawa seems not to be doing anything, they only came here once after the attack incidence. As I speak to you now we have already locked ourselves in.’

The Leopards have been spotted at the School pitch and Teachers’ compound. They are suspected to be following water as there is a pond within school campus.

Zawa could not be reached for a comment by press time.
