Zambian diplomat dies in Kenya

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mulambo Haimbe has expressed sadness following the death of First Secretary-Economic at the High Commission of Zambia in Nairobi, Natalie Omokhodion.

The deceased was the daughter of Chileshe Mpundu Kapwepwe, Secretary General of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

Haimbe says her passing is a great loss not only to her family and colleagues but also to the Ministry and the entire diplomatic service, where she served with dedication and professionalism.

He adds that her commitment to advancing Zambia’s economic interests in Kenya and across the region will be fondly remembered.

Haimbe has sent his thoughts to the family as they mourn their loved one.
