President Hakainde Hichilema (HH) has assured Zambians that soon they will happy with the way the country’s economic turn around will be.

And President Hichilema has arrived in South Africa for what he calls detailed bilateral talks with that county’s president.

Speaking in Lusaka this morning before departure for South Africa, President Hichilema said he is focus on position the country economically through trade and investment for the benefit of the citizens.

President Hichilema said South Africa as a leading economic trade partner to Zambia was key in his plan to position the country.

He also said his trip would also include him engaging President Cyril Ramophosa as Chairperson for Security wing under SADC on the unrests that has rocked Mozambique which he said would destabilize Zambia as a neighbor if not addressed.

And President Hichilema who is on two day state visit later confirmed he had arrived in South Africa.

Fellow citizens,

We have arrived in the Republic of South Africa for detailed bilateral talks with His Excellency President Cyril Matemela Ramaphosa, on matters of peace and security that are of mutual importance to our two countries.

President Ramaphosa is currently Chair of the SADC organ on politics, defence and security cooperation.

As always, our mission is to accelerate trade and investment at home and abroad, in order to strengthen the economy, create jobs, and improve livelihoods. This is only be possible when we have peace and stability in our region.

Our efforts to uplift our people, are of the of utmost importance to us, and we will leave no stone unturned until we have found meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities for everyone.
