A Mazabuka woman has brutally stabbed her husband with a knife after he refused reconciliation following a 9-year separation.
Police National spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the incident saying the suspect has since been arrested.

1st October, 2022 – Police in Mazabuka have detained F/Ng’andu Yvonne aged 28 for stabbing her husband M/Wamundila Muhau aged 47 with a knife.
This followed after a report of unlawful wounding was made by M/Lastwell Hamainza aged 37 on 29th September, 2022 at around 17:00 hours of highlanders Compound on behalf of his neighbour M/Wamundila Muhau aged 47 of the same address that, he was stabbed with a knife by his wife F/Yvonne Ng’andu aged 28.
Brief facts of the matter are that, the victim M/Wamundila Muhau a security guard at Tiger Head Company operating at NAPSA Mazabuka and his wife F/Ng’andu Yvonne have been on separation since 2013.
However, the suspect F/Yvonne Ng’andu on 29th September, 2022 around 14:00 hours went to visit her husband M/Wamundila with a view of reconciling with him but when the victim was reluctant to accept due to the abuse the suspect subjected him to during their stay, she unexpectedly drew out a knife from her chitenge wrapper, stabbed the victim in the stomach and intestines came out.
She continued stabbing him all over the body and later on fled.
The victim sustained deep cuts all over his body and the knife used in the act was not found at the scene.
This occurred on 29th September, 2022 at around 14:00 hours at the victim’s house. The victim is admitted to Mazurka General Hospital.
Police managed to apprehend the suspect who has since been charged and arrested for the offence of unlawful wounding.
