“The adjustments are made to facilitate recovery of the lost teaching and learning time due to Covid-19 pandemic,” stated Permanent Secretary Technical Services Joe Kamoko in a statement to all Provincial Education Officers seen by Zambian Eye.

However, Kamoko says the adjustments made does not affect the scheduled opening of term two which will commence on Monday 9th May, 2022.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a great negative impact on the education sector since it broke out in 2019 as the Schools had to be closed in most period.
