Shikapwasha, Ex-PS, Chanda Chimba 3 found with a case

Shikapwasha, ChimbaThe Lusaka Magistrate court has found former Information Minister Ronnie Shikapwasha, former Information Permanent Secretary Sam Phiri and Freelance Journalist Chanda Chimba the third with a case to answer.

This is in case where the trio are charged on two counts of abuse of authority of office on matters relating to the publication of the Stand Up For Zambia television documentary.

The trio have been been put on their defence today when they appeared in court before Magistrate Obbister Musukwa in Lusaka.

Magistrate Musukwa has since set June 10, 2016, for the accused to open their defence.

General Shikapwasha, Mr Phiri and Mr Chimba the third are facing charges of abuse of authority of office, unlawful publication and possession of property suspected to be proceeds of a crime.

They are alleged to have also caused the publication of Stand Up For Zambia, a television documentary in 2011.
