Mr. Michael Sata

President Michael Sata has dared opposition MMD by swearing-in two more of its Members of Parliament as Deputy Ministers.
And Mr. Sata says he will look for another MMD MP from Eastern province to replace Isaac Banda who resigned his deputy ministerial position on Monday.
President Sata on Tuesday swore-in MMD Mkaika MP David Phiri, as Deputy Minister for the newly created Ministry of Tourism and Art while MMD Solwezi East MP Richard  Taima was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
The duo served as Deputy Ministers in the MMD government.
MMD president Nevers Mumba has said MPs from his party who are serving in PF government should consider themselves expelled.
But President Sata says his PF can do without MMD MPs only he would want to run an all inclusive government.
Mr Sata says the current constitution of Zambia provides for electorates to choose their representatives to Parliament and at the same time gives the president powers to appoint MPs to government position regardless of the political parties they belong.
