Pressure, Nkombo reconciles with Kachasu family

Gary Nkombo has apologized and reconciled with a Kachasu Brewer Woman and her Children he forced to drink the illicit beer, reports Martha Banda.

He invited them at his office where they were paraded before cameras.

This followed condemnation of the Local Government and Rural Development Minister Gary Nkombo from various stakeholders including the Human Rights Commission.

Nkombo earlier told the media that after a soul searching, he realized his mistake and apologized to the family.

The family said they will stop brewing the illigal beer if only they were empowered to start another business.

The family from one of the shanty townships of Lusaka said they had forgiven the Minister.

One of Civil Right Activist and Musician Chama Fumba said the sin that Nkombo had committed against the poor will not be forgotten.

Fumba popularly known as Pilato said Nkombo has opted to go victimise the poor leaving the rich in the Forest 27 he had promised would demolish.
