Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has charged that most Zambians are disappointed with the poor governance that Patriotic Front (PF) has shown since they came into office.

Hichilema told QFM Radio that the people were warned of not voting for the PF but were enticed with the lies from the people. He said the PF are governing the nation contrary to their promises prior 2011 general elections.

The UPND leader said it is now clear in the minds of the people that the PF are in office to fill their pockets with money and subject the Zambian people to total suffering.

Hichilema said as it now It is difficult for the PF to get votes in Lusaka and Copperbelt because electorates in these areas have opened up their eyes.

  4. HH we now know that PF lied. I am a UPND supporter and I urge you to tell people what UPND will do or do things differently. Elections are won by offering alternative solutions and not just criticising the govt. Even in US Romney wanted to turn the election into a referendum on Obama policies and it didn’t work. Please start outlining the beautiful UPND programs to the people. Viva UPDN

    • You are right my brother. The problem with HH is that his message lucks solutions, no data. He keeps saying things people already know. Even my own dog knows PF is useless but people want to here solutions. HH has to start telling how he will move this country forward not pointing us to PF’s failures.

    • HH THINK THAT YOU WIN ELECTIONS BY BEING ARROGANT AND BOASTFUL. TRULLY ELECTIONS IN ZAMBIA ARE WON BY TELLING LIES AND ARROGANT. FELLOW ZAMBIANS BE CAREFUL WITH WORKERS OF OUTSIDE FORCES. WE HAVE ONE LEADER WHO IS SO SIMPLE DOWN TO EARTH, EVERY TIME HE SPEAKS IT MAKES SENSE, THIS PERSON LOVES ZAMBIA AND HE AS SHOWN WHAT IT IS TO BE A SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE.

      • I don’t think HH is arrogant. He is trying his best to offer checks and balances to the PF. He is a better alternative to Sata. Its just that his messages sometimes are too shallow. However, people who talk less like him are result oriented. See how successful he is in business, we need such a man in State House.

        • MY DEAR EVEN MAFIAS HAVE MADE A LOT OF MONEY CAN WE USE THIS AS A YARD STICK TO TELL THAT HE CAN RUN THE COUNTRY WELL. MY ANSWER TO THIS IS NO. WANT WE NEED IS A TRUE SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE. HH IS TO MUCH OF HIMSELF. EXAMPLE EVERY TIME THE OPPOSITION TALKS OF WANTING TO WORK TOGETHER HH ALWAYS WANT TO LEAD THEM. COME ON WE HAVE MEN OF SUBSTANCE WHO CAN LEAD THIS COUNTRY BETTER THAN HIM.

    • You are very right John together with the commentary in support of what you have said. I wish those close to the UPND leader and indeed other opposition leaders could take this advice and impress it on their leaders to concentrate presenting the alternatives to PF’s failures in reaching out to the electorate while the noisy political criticism rhetoric is left to lesser members in their party

  6. I think HH talked so much sense prior to 2011. Even the UPND manifesto was rumoured to have been adopted by PF through Hon. Lubinda. HH probably got discouraged when Zambians voted someone else into power. Those who say he does not have alternative solutions to our problems either never listened to him or just hate the man.

Anyway we cannot all think alike. More so why we should not stifle HH either. We are in a multiparty democracy and HH being a leader of an opposition should not be expected to keep quiet or support the ruling party. That will defeat the whole idea of forming a political party – that is to gain political power in a lawful manner. That is how our current President and PF got into power and parties led by Dr Nevers Mumba, Cosmo Mumba and Siulapwa did not.

  7. Mr. HH, tell us what you will do for the Zambians. Don’t just criticise without solutions.

At Least Sata and his team (whether they lied or not) had some theme of what they wanted to do for the people.

Do you think people will vote for you for merely being arrogant to the govt in power?
