Nkana kisses goodbye to Confederation Cup

Nkana have been booted of the CAF Confederation Cup by Sewe Sport of Cote d’Ivoire a match which was beamed live on SuperSport across the African Continent, reports Norman Kapata.

Sewe beat Nkana 3-0 to exchange places with Beston Chambeshi side to finish in second and third place respectively.

Goals by Hermann Kouao, Joseph Kameni and Roger Assale in the 10th, 47th and 74th minutes denied Nkana a dream debut semi final place in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Sewe advance to the semi finals tied on nine points with Al Ahly of Egypt who were held to a scoreless home draw by Etoile du Sahel.

Nkana finished their Group B campaign on seven points.

The FAZ 2013 Super League Champions will now have to focus on local league to defend their title.
