Ndola residents rioting

Zambians are rioting in Ndola the provincial capital of the Copperbelt.

The riot started this morning and by press time 9:30 am local time the residents were still rioting looting a shop of a Somalian in the Second Class area in the Central district. Zambian Eye reporter at the scene says there was no presence of the police yet.

Goods wealth millions of kwacha has been rooted.

“The situation is tense here right now people are looting the shop grabbing assorted groceries such as sugar and cooking oil, Zambian Eye reporters said.

The riot follows the shooting of a Zambian who is reported to have been demanding for his money on Thursday by a Somalian

  1. I hope people are not just looting any shop other than those of Somalians. This Somalians guy needs to be caged!!!!! Chinese guys are also taking advantage of us. Remember the worker whose ear was slashed by the Chinese guy??

    Let justice prevail. Others are busy fighting for higher positions in Offices whilst the people they’re supposed to be serving are in dip shit. Shit happens!!!!!!

  2. Our brothers and sisters in Ndola should not have vented their wrath on all somalians they set their eyes on.They should narrow down on the man who carried out the murder and ensure that the law deals with him severely.
