Man stabs niece/lover to death

A-19- year old man of Kitwe’s Chimwemwe Township has committed suicide after gruesomely stabbing his 17-year old niece who was his lover.

Emmanuel Sonta found out that his girlfriend was having a secret affair with another man.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said the incident occurred yesterday between 18:00 and 19:00hours

Mweemba said Emmanuel before taking his own life by consuming a suspected poison, he stabbed the victim.

Elizabeth Phiri was a grade six pupil at Kampemba combined school.
