Lungu sets 3rd term bid rolling, registers to vote

President Edgar Lungu has registered to vote as he prepares for his third term bid.

Lungu is seeking a third term, despite many calls from various quarters against his standing, this is in line with one of the qualifications of being a Presidential candidate, being registered as a voter.

Meanwhile, a person qualifies to be nominated as a candidate for election as a President if that person; is a citizen by birth or descent; has been ordinarily resident in Zambia; is at least thirty-five years old; and a registered voter.

Lungu announced that he has registered as a voter; “Earlier today I registered as a voter. I am asking every Zambian who qualifies to vote in the next election to do the same.”

Lungu also announced that Zambian soccer icon, Kalusha Bwalya, has registered as a voter and urged fellow citizens to to the same.

He he posted on his Facebook; “Zambia’s soccer icon and 1988 African Footballer of the Year, Kalusha Bwalya has registered as a voter. You too can do the same. Register to Vote!”
