Lungu launches cooperative

President Edgar Lungu has launched the Edgar Chagwa Lungu Multipurpose Cooperative which is expected to be rolled out to all parts of the country.

Speaking about the initiative, President Lungu said the cooperative will be used as a vehicle and gateway to transform the lives of vulnerable people.

The President spoke through his Political advisor Zumani Zimba during the launch at SEESA primary School in Mwansabombwe.

He explained that he has decided to partner with the people of SEESA because they are hard working.

Zimba during the launch handed over some farming inputs and a hammer mill to different cooperatives.

He added that the ECL Cooperative will also give out chickens and goats to the vulnerable.

And PF Mobilisation Member Ronald Chitotela has thanked the people in the area for giving the PF support at SEESA polling station in the Mwansabombwe Parliamentary by election.

Meanwhile, PF Chairperson for Luapula province Nickson Chilangwa has pledged to support the cooperative and work with the people in the province. -ZNBC
