Lusaka City Council (LCC) has warned Bar and Night club owners to adhere to COVID-19 measures or risk being closed.

Council Administrator, Nixson Nkwapu said it is up to bar owners to ensure that the right thing is done so that they could remain in business or else disobey and risk being shut.

This comes after the president partially open bars and nightclubs after being closed for almost 6 months to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Zambian Breweries has urged bar owners in the capital to ensure that the measures of prevention that have been put in place are taken seriously as the Covid-19 pandemic is still at play.

Diamond TV which covered the story also reports that Zambia Breweries country director Jose Moran made these remarks when he distributed hygiene products to bar and night club owners at JCC complex.

This happened during the launch of the Responsible Drinking Campaign under the Smart Drinking Initiative.
